IGE has dropped their "buy" price for L$ for the second time in as many weeks. They now only offer US$1.275 for a block of L$250.

BUT...
On GOM, the price is $1.33 -- so it's "better" to sell your Linden's there. What am I missing here? _____________________

It's currently 1.32/250 Linden block there. _____________________

If you're selling L$, its almost always better to park your sell orders at the top of the "Sell" line. You'll usually get a better price than IGE offers, even after discounting the US$0.03/block commission charged by GOM.
And you're almost always better off buying on GOM as well. This is especially true if you're patient and just put in bids at the top of the "Buy" line. This isn't ALWAYS true, but as one who keeps a close eye on both IGE and GOM, I can safely say that this is usually the case. Just be a good shopper/seller, check out both sites, and go for wherever you can get the best deal with the level of convenience you want. - Ace _____________________

I don't see any decline at GOM at all. Every time I've looked over the past week to ten days it's been right around $1.32. The last time I sold L$ about two weeks ago I think I got $1.32 for it. Soooo, aside from IGE dropping their buy price I don't see this decline you're talking about Ace.

I think IGE is trying to limit their exposure to the l$. They're doing this by reducing the price to a point people will stop selling to them..

Like I said a million times. The cheaper land prices will cause a demand on the Linden Dollar. As such, the LD will increase in value.

So where's the uptrend? It's basically flat at the 1.30 area, not including the portion that was due to the fraud closure.

Currency valuation moves take time. It took 4 months to move from the $1.05/per block range to $1.40/per block range. Patience... |

Yeah, I think the temporary drop was an issue of seasonality.
People going back to work / school. Less demand for SL. I think we may find a big uptick around christmas when the latest round of people get their funky new computers. _____________________
