I've read opposing statements, but can someone clear this up for me please:

Do Life Timers have..
A.) 1/16th of land they are allowed to buy without having to pay taxes.

B.) 1/16th of land they get to have without having to buy it and don't pay taxes on it.

Thank you :)

Yes and No. :D

Lifetimers get the ability to hold up 1/16th of a sim without paying any more $US. If they already own that much land they get to keep it. If they don't they can purchase it like anyone else.

but of course, if you own more than 1/16 of a sim, you will get billed monthly for that land. 1/16 of a sim is(( 4096 meters) 1 Acre)

Now. we have this settled so the Lindens have to make good on the other half of the promise made. WHERES MY NEW MULE?!? :D

Jovian,

The answer is A.

You still have to CLAIM the land with linden dollars (L$1 per sq m seems to be the current official number).

As a lifetime member, you are allowed to claim up to 4096 sq m without changing your subscription arrangement with Linden Labs.

Any attempt to claim land beyond your 4096 sq m allotment will prompt you to make an additional subscription arrangement with Linden Labs.

Subscription arrangements with Linden Labs are normally paid in US dollars, but a large amount of linden dollars (2000 Linden Dollars for each US Dollar) may be used in part or full toward your payment if you have the means in L$ to do so.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Lifetimers get the weekly $500 base stipend.
