Ahhh... Good to see that SL has plenty of folks who can see the light and only a few radical hippies standing in front of the WTO and World Bank Meetings. lol

"I don't know."
Because I think they are for the better, but I honestly can't predict the future. So I'm more an optimistic wait and see right now. ![]() _____________________

The poll speaks clearly.. Over 50% of the players are For the Changes... All others, cease your complaining.. Just like Election 2004. The winner is clear.

The SL economies already in hell. As to what happens after tomorrow, only time will tell. I won't vote because the poll is biased for a change. But what Sio (and Oz) said pretty much summed it up. The economy has been nuts since we first had the ability to trade L$ for USD. The new changes might help to stabilize that, they might not. My opinion is that it will adversely affect new players already in the game and those joining in the future, to the point they may well decide very early on that this game is just too darned expensive to get anywhere in, and they just won't join. But then my opinion is also that this would be no bad thing ![]() I don't think we'll see any immediate price drops in inworld items, I just think we'll see less buying during the panic period. In fact, I doubt there will be too much change in inworld prices in the short to middle term, which will be one of the main factors in the decisions of new players I mentioned above. As for what the price of the Linden does, meh.. I neither follow the market nor care. To me, it's always been play money and it always will be ![]() |

1. It's going to reduce sales, at least in the short term.
2. It's going to reduce Entertainment. (Luxuries) 3. People that aren't interested in making money for Lindens will be weeded out. 4. Ratings will cease to exist. Results 1. Those that survive and stay in business will take a loss in the short term. Doesn't matter to Linden either way probably. Less Lag issues with population. 2. Less Socialising, more building, more land tier fees. 3. Obvious 4. Less Socialism, less recognition, less appreciation. Total Result..new game name. Second Businesslife. _____________________

Do you think SL Economy is going to hell with this change? Vote your mind! ![]() In the end, it will be a good thing. There just may be a little "pain" involved making the adjustments. People are really creative (and that one of things that attracts me to SL). So people will find ways to make the new system work. I remember when animations first came out. Now look at what we have (a billion dance loops mostly lol). People turned it into something unique for SL. Im pretty confident this will happen with the monetary changes too. |

You've identified the facts, but I feel your conclusions are sorely amiss. |
