In attempts to rectify the pervasive gloom in the forums and in-game, and to "resurrect" good feelings and plans for progress, post here only:

Three things that have been enjoyable for you as of late:

One person you would like to say thanks to for any kind of help or friendship:

One new thing you would like to create or see in SL (something basic, not a "Projects" kind of post, hehe):

I'll begin!

-I've enjoyed the compliments I've recieved from people on my most recent builds and projects
-Creative events such as the one with the drums is inspiring creativity for further events to host
-People are "moving on" with their problems and it is good to see the SL world leaving "winter" and entering "spring"
-I'd like to thank Kats Kothari for recent help in Photoshop and numerous texture support for my builds and projects
-Someday in the far future I would like to create a self-sufficient Second Life commune

:)

(Edit: Hehe, okay, I didn't articulate well here... By "not a projects kind of post" I mean... this isn't supposed to be a advertising for a wacky idea, but rather a place to show that progress won't end in SL because we are all still inspired. :D )

Nice positive thread, DS! :)

Three things that have been enjoyable for you as of late:

1. Actually getting enough free time in my FL to play SL,
2. Seeing & experiencing all the great work that went into Linden World theme park,
3. Setting up my first two shops recently, in Aqua and Natoma... even tho they have little stock right now.

One person you would like to say thanks to for any kind of help or friendship:

I'd like to thank Bhodi Silverman for her encouragment with my sculptures.

One new thing you would like to create or see in SL (something basic, not a "Projects" kind of post, hehe):

I'd like to see myself finish my sentient house project (oops, thats a project lol).
Ok, er... I'd like to see Linden Labs get acedemic praise for the wornderfull world they have created for us to play in!

1. a. I FINALLY made it over to Lindenworld and was blown away by both the Destroy the City and Spookhouse attractions! WOW - very creative, very cool!
b. I continue to enjoy seeing all the breath-takingly creative and beautiful pieces being shown at the Gallery and the weekly juried art shows. Each week, the quality and shape of the art astounds me. I really believe a new medium is being matured here in SL.
c. And, finally, I'm havin' a ball running around in the Lilly Munster AV that Neph Protagonist created for me. It's friggin' amazing - I was shocked at the level of detail she was able to do. "Herman!"

2. Okay, I can't do just one... so here is a very, very long list:
-Eggy Lippman for all his help with the Gallery
-Jack Orlowski for the amazing work he's doing in creating a Jessie community - and his maturity and patience in doing so, despite all the challenges, with grace and style!
-Hamlet Linden, whose presence in SL has created a strange meta-level of reality and I think really raised the bar on how virtual communities understand themselves.
- Cubey Terra, Lola Bombay, Same Song, Duck Crossing, Nephaline Protagonist, Eddie Escher and about fifty other brilliantly creative folks whose work I sometimes just pop in-game to see when I need cheering up during the day.

3. I wanna join the commune!

Three things that have been enjoyable for you as of late:

1. I love getting inspired by things that I see in RL and having the chance to recreate them in SL (e.g. costumes that I can't make in RL because I don't have any sewing abilities, can be recreated using Photoshop and they can be worn in SL). Second Life has been a way for me to express myself, when in RL I have had artist's block for a long time.
2. I like the praise and compliments that I have received from residents on my builds and my avatars (even though they make me blush 'cause I am kinda shy in RL :) ). They give me the motivation to keep on building and doing what I enjoy.
3. I love meeting new residents and getting to know them and also the older residents. I have met many nice people in SL and they have always made me feel welcomed.

One person you would like to say thanks to for any kind of help or friendship:

I would like to thank a few people, since more than one deserve it :D.

~ Jeff Linden, I want to thank you for always been there when I needed help and though you might be constantly bombarded with IM's, you always reply. You not only help me when I need assistance, you are also there to offer words of encouragement at times when one needs them most. Plus you make me laugh!
~ Char Linden, thank you also for your assistance and for trusting in me enough to offer me a position as a Mentor. I promise not to let you down.
~ Raven Bell and Sunny Rhodes, my "front door" neighbors, I thank you for being so nice and for always inviting me to your house. I love having you both as neighbors and though you will probably never read this since you don't check out the site, I still thank you. :p
~ Daemioth, I want to thank you most of all, for all the support you have given me and for always being there when I needed someone to talk to. I look forward to seeing you each time I log in and I enjoy our conversations (however short they may be due to us having hectic RL's recently). You have always been able to tell what type of mood I'm in (because you know me well) and your concern has proven what a great person and friend you are. I also want to thank you for starting this thread...we need a positive outlook. ;)

One new thing you would like to create or see in SL:

I would like to see a White Christmas in SL. I live in Puerto Rico and have only traveled few times to the US during the summer, so I have never seen snow in RL. I would love to see it snow in SL... iceskating, sleds, snowy trees, etc. Things that I have seen only in movies.

Three things that have been enjoyable for you as of late:
1. Building strange things, like henges, penguins, and zebras.
2. Reading the horrible horrible bad poetry from other SL residents. Excellent work!
3. Exploring the world by way of the TeleHubs. I've seen more of SL in the last week than in all of the weeks before 1.1.

One person you would like to say thanks to for any kind of help or friendship:
Just one? That's a too difficult. Bhodi tops the list for being supportive of so many people in creative projects.

One new thing you would like to create or see in SL (something basic, not a "Projects" kind of post, hehe):
I'd like to see a new "Arts" sim that's run much like Lindenworld: galleries, interactive installations, theatres, and cafes with live/recorded music.

Three things that have been enjoyable for you as of late:
1. Playing with textures for the new skirts! I LOVE real skirts! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Lindens!!!
2. The nice customer response I've received on opening a shop in Tan, and having people buy my clothes; this is such a compliment to me since I put a lot of time and effort into everything I make and sell. And also enjoying the gorgeous shop that Lordfly Didgeridoo, that architectural prim wizard, built for me.
3. Senso in Lindenworld. :D (Well, it's laggier since 1.1... but I still love it.)

One person you would like to say thanks to for any kind of help or friendship:
Gwydeon Nomad brought me to SL, helped orient me and has become a good friend, thanks again, Gwyd. :)

One new thing you would like to create or see in SL (something basic, not a "Projects" kind of post, hehe):
I would love to see a central shopping district where speculators are not able to buy and hold land, but must put up a shop on the property they buy. Land speculation has ruined Aqua as a shopping area, IMHO.
