It depends on the quality of the Bingo. If it is just something half-assed thrown together to try to get people onto your land... then no. Like anything else, it would have to be something of quality done for the fun of it, not just to get people to show up and stay for the five minutes.

So basically if it's well made and I enjoy it, yes. Just like anything else in SL.

[edit] ooooo 69 posts! No more for me ^_^

These days, it's perfectly possible to spend a minimum of nine hours a day on SL playing bingo - that's at least 45 games and the equivalent of a full-time job!

Remember that people who host the most successful bingo games are those who also play devoutly at the other games. It's not a completely closed community, but it is a tightly-knit one!

I don't go to bingo often, but of the 4 different venues I have tried, one was very professionally run but so many people there that i crashed out on two different occasions, 2 were sort of ok but haven't been back, and 1 was a complete shambles.

So if you get it right you will get the people. But there seems to be a proliferation of bingo events at the moment.

I don't know if it'd attract more people, as said, there are already quite a few games running regularly. (Of course, I wouldn't complain... I like bingo, and that gives a good opportunity to play either in the morning, afternoon or evening, instead of drooling on US-timezones friendly events that are run at 4 am my time ;))

Just make sure it isn't automated bingo. Then you might have people who sit there with automatic play devices just to collect the money and game the dwell system ;)

I avoid lag-generators.

Last time I tried to visit spitoony island, the island of fun. But a bingo was taking place ; my computer nearly froze and took several minutes to recover once I managed to teleport away.

So bingo = Issarlk-repeller.

With the ability to create almost anything using SL, to express countless different ideas, and no limit to the games invented, the thought of using SL to recreate something as blase as bingo seems almost profane in its perversity.

the bingo market is so saturated no days its not even funny! i was just thinking about deleting my bing caller etc the other day because of this. its a waste if your trying to get a ton of dwell because there is always bingo's going on
