Some very dear friends and I one day were in SL and the question was posed "what shall we do today" on a whim an idea was tossed out to make a giant purple bug eyed spider. He flys and seats lots of friends, and we call him "Mr. Peepers". As much time has passed since Mr Peepers was created hes brought many laughs, joy, and excellent memories of good times in Second Life. We still continue to take flights, and share and make fun memories with him. My purpose for this thread is... Do you have anything in second life that has brought you "THE BEST" memories? Was it a build your especially proud of?, a script you worked forever on and finally got , something you didnt even make but still enjoyed immensely in the game ? Just something to share for fun reading on the forums. Let me know if you have a particular something in SL thats "THE BEST" for you ) thank you for reading.

One of my Best SL Experiences was the first VERTU auction back in May, 2004. Was an outstanding community event!

So far, mine had been a particle script that I finally got to do what I wanted after two days of messing with it. And learnig a lot in the process.

Best experiences -- quite a few, it's hard to pick. Some were naughty griefing actions, some were just feelings of massive success, such as finally figuring out how to make a fully working tank and squashing the last major bug.
Another was when I was at an event filled with unmatched stupidity and depravity that I blew up a robot cat in the middle of it. 3 day ban, but I think it was worth it. The best? Probably the first time one of my airships exploded into a 1000 pieces over 5 sims. My surprise when the thing utterly disintrated on me -- it actually felt pretty awesome.

Mr Peepers!!! Ok I have to post a pic of him for all to see. It's not the best pic, but you can see where he got his name His friends in the pic (those who brought him to life) are left to right: Braddie Pendragon, Rysidian Rubio, Rafael Gardner & Rosa Gardner.

I seem to have these a few times a year (starting when I joined in 5/2003), and they always involve me pushing myself to develop scripts that do mathematical things that I originally thought to be beyond my capability. I was never a good math student. I managed to fail high school trig and then retook it in summer school, sliding out by the skin of my teeth with a C. Nevertheless, something about this world gets under my skin and I HAVE to figure out how to solve certain problems that demand complicated mathematics. I guess maybe it's actually having some concrete use for esoteric-sounding mathematics, rather than listening to a teacher rattle off theorems and corollaries that I (usually) couldn't see much use for. (What I liked in math class back in high school was stuff that related to using matrices to rotate things, since I was actively writing programs that did that.)
SL actually gave me a use for a lot of these things that bored me to tears in various math classes. It also caused me to think back to an introductory physics course I took in high school, close to a decade ago.
It can take quite a while for me to analyze a problem, decide how to go about solving it, and then actually implement it. In between there is a ton of online research (reading everything2.com and whatever I can find on google) as well as sketching down things on paper when I'm not jacked in. Sometimes I have a vague idea of how to approach a problem and I think about it in the shower, and by the time I return, I already have the mechanics prototyped in my head. The end result of all this cogitation is very rewarding - whenever I resolve a difficult system of subtly-interrelated mathematical problems, I feel like I have gained intelligence.
