I downloaded and installed the 4.5 Catalyst drivers, and so far everything works ok, no Avatar Vertex issues, no Shiny broken, and the amazing thing, a texture that had been currupted is now fixed. I'm running a Radeon 9800, and hopefully won't have any issues with these drivers. Supposedly Texture Curruption is fixed with this release, and hopefully it really is, so far it seems so. I'd say go ahead and try them out, hopefully they'll work as good for you if you're having any issues.
