Is there any way to find out who is making sounds play? I'm getting really tired of going to events and being spammed through my speakers by a barrage of moans, people talking about being f***ed, etc. This isn't what I play the stupid game for

I wish there is/was. The thing that is up in my list of pet peeves is the bloody ghetto blasters with repetitive crap on them. Ok its good the first time, but not iteration 23867248.

Someone had a club elite advertising script in one of their objects during bingo. Want to talk about annoying, and I don't even think the person wearing it knew they had it on. I had someone hunt me down a ghetto blaster because I thought they were so cool.

I would be willing to pay someone medium money for that! (I don't have big money, what can ya do?)

At an event a couple weeks ago in Epimetheus (sp?) I had 685 incoming audio streams. I had to log out, and change my setting to start at Home, just to get rid of the heinous lag it created. If I had found out who it was that kept doing sounds over and over and over, I'd have probably shot them a few sims over and let the Lindens slap me for it later.

Open message to those who think they're audios are just SO witty they need to play them all the damn time... THEY AREN'T, SO STOP, YOU'RE ANNOYING!

using positional autio its not *THAT* hard to figure out who is playing the sound.. the volume drops off rapidly with distance so you can pan around a group, find the approximate area of the sound, and move the camera back an forth slightly, its been pretty effective in welcome when the sounds start flying

i've tried this in a very crowded event. it doesn't work. i've narrowed it down to maybe 3 or 4 av's.

also, the attached sound generating object can be more than one av width away from from the av creating the sound.

heh thats what show alpha is for... it would be nice to have a 'show audio' showin sound waves comin out from sound sources, in the view menu or somethin tho definately

Not to mention sometimes the sound bites are short, they are just played too often. Like every 2 minutes or so.
