Dear Lord

Please get the Lindens to get their heads outta their butts and not release new patches until they know they've actually gotten their bugs fixed. The people that use Second Life have paid good money and it gets so frustrating to have to log, relog, uninstall, reinstall, reboot computer, etc etc etc...

We sit at our desks and click the connect button so many times just to get a message telling us there is some unknown problem or sometimes we get nothing, it just goes back to the connect page.

We go to the meetings and instead of answering questions straight out, they give us a 'lil dance and a 'lil pat or ignore us completely even though they are saying they are listening to everything we say.

Yes, Lord, I know its called 'business' but when will John Q Public's voice be heard?

Please help the Lindens and help us lowly users.

Dear Lord, Please send a plague of silence upon all the whiners in the land, so that we, the righteous cherubs, may get some sleep.

*S* I'm usually not a 'whiner'. I use to stand up for them. It gets hard to continue to do so when you have to constantly relog just to tp someplace, even when you 'take off all your prims'.. I've emptied my inventory to almost non-existance in order to 'free space'. Each patch has caused more and more problems for MY s/l program which was already buggy to begin with. I go to live help and 90% of the time they haven't a clue whats going on. (Yes I know most are volunteers - but they should know at least something more than the ones that ask for help)

And, at least I have the courage to post my thoughts on the board instead of just sitting and talking about it to others in im, afraid to say anything because they don't want someone to think ill of them, call them whiner or for whatever reason they don't post.

Guess not.

Saying something like "Please get the Lindens to get their heads outta their butts" is not courage. It's childish and annoying - it's is also discouraging and insulting for the Lindens.
There are more constructive way to voice your opinions. There is, I do belive, a proposition to stop adding any features until the current bugs are reduced or eliminated. Add your votes to it. If you really feel the need to post that wish, please do so without insulting anyone. It makes your opinion far more acessable to those you want to hear it in the first palce.
When was the last time you really cared to listen to the opinion of some fellow who starts off telling you that you have your head up your ass?

I've been to the meetiings. I've not just taken it that its the Linden Labs all the time either. I have called my ISP to make sure its not something on this end as well as checked different things on my own computer. Besides, if after all the times I've acted like an adult and its not gotten me anywhere, why can't I just once act the child?

FIrst, you have gotten somewhere. Though there are plenty of bugs yet to go - including new ones, unfortunately - others HAVE been fixed. And they continue to work to fix more. I know it, I've seen it.
As for acting the child... well, I'm not one for denying a person's right to choose thier method of communication. However, these forums have - of late especially - become so clogged with insult and petty bickering as to approach uselessness. I feel it's important to point out that adding to they mess isn't exactly helping.

I usually sit in your shoes. Sometimes its nice to get out of them. The majority of the things I say are suppsed to be funny and if not, oh well, next time it might be. If someone doesnt like a post, they can simply ignore it and not respond, eventually it dies. Ya, my remark about LL gettng heads outta butts may have not been the nicest, yet like I said, I have stood up for them before.

The poor girl was feeling desperate, lost, and downright hopeless, and in a last ditch effort decided to pray to God to get her prayers answered. What she asks of her deity is up to her, she just decided to let you listen in. Everybody has their head up their ass once in awhile, it seems to be human nature to do so. So no offense need be taken. She had a valid set of issues and whining is free. Let the girl speak her mind without being chastised for her choice of verbiage. Freedom of expression, as long as nobody gets shot Enjoy!

I'm really usually much better at framing words. *S* In the meantime, I've been patiently sitting in the air in the middle of nowhere talking to my friends in im. Guess I'll log out and wait to see if the login que gets slower later on. Who knows. maybe by that time or tomorrow things will have stablized a little to let things 'get back to normal'.
