I am seriously depressed at SL going down so often because I do love it, even after such a short time as a resident. Just a while ago I arrived at at event I was looking forward to attending and the screen froze. Logged out and haven't been able to get back in since. Then I tried to get on the SL website and couldn't access that either.
When I did manage to access the website, none of my friends are listed on the community page as being in game so presumably this has affected a good number of people.
In addition, during an average day i will crash 3 or 4 times. A Linden was in the Welcome Area recently when I was there. I asked him about this and could almost see him shrugging his shoulders. He basically said, no idea. End of conversation.
I do sympathise with LL but find it incredibly frustrating.

Hi Alexa! Sorry you are having trouble getting in. It might help if you uninstall and reinstall Second Life on your computer. But, when you do that, just remember that all those places you visited won't be saved in the cache and therefore, when you visit them again, it might take a bit to download all the stuff I haven't been in myself in a couple of days, although I didn't have any problems getting in Saturday evening/Sunday morning. It's just too bad that these issues seem to continue to go on. If your screen continues to freeze or you can't get in, be sure and write support@secondlife.com. Although, I hope to see you tonight when I finally get in myself, it's been much too long

Thanks Bob I managed to get in again, went back to event and then froze again. Took ages to get back in. When I did, the sim where the event was being held had disappeared under the ocean, just as Derwent did a couple of weeks ago. The trials of SL lol. Hope you are well and will speak later Alexa
