Ok before you say "here we go again" please at least do me a favor and read my statement entirely.

Since when did SL become a competition?

I thought SL was based on freedom of expression, creativity, imagination and the ability to do what I couldn't in RL. I read a few threads lately that mentioned; 1) competition based on how good ones work was. 2) Putting down peoples work.

Are we all now expected to "out do" one another? I don't personally think so, but why hasn't anyone else noticed this? I don’t know that either. How come someone besides me isn't saying; "Hey can I just do what I feel like doing, lay off the fricken pressure to be #1 man." I don’t know. I do know however that that kind of "acceptable" talk will suck some of the "fun" out of SL, at least for me.

Create what you want. Don't worry about what anyone thinks. If you think it’s beautiful, then it’s beautiful.
