I'm curious as to why "Paris Hilton" is number 1 but "paris hilton" is only number 154.

At least we know that Paris Hilton fans use proper capitalization.

edit - as a side note, is it sad that I have now used it as a list of things to investigate? ... like who the hell is Katie Price? And who the hell nonchalantly surfs to Google to look up "easy formal hairstyles". It's also fairly amusing that 58652 people were looking for some OTHER search engine

Katie Price is "Jordan" the 'glamour' model in the UK.

She's famous as the girl who had massive breast surgery to give herself a huge chest, and then posed topless a lot.

These days you can find her in the society pages of the lowest British newspapers, usually for going to a movie premier or something. She has no actual occupation that I know of.

I purposely omitted the pron search queries because that's prolly 95% of the searches to begin with!

Let's see, if we could distill it down, looks like pretty much:

1.people looking for pics of hot chicks
2. Music searches (lyrics, artists)
3. Searches of search engines (go figure!)
4. Locational (maps, directions, airline tickets, hotels)
5. Self-help (baby names, home improvement, pregnancy, dictionaries, dieting)
6. Cartoon-related

Amazing there's no NEWS search queries in the top 200!

That's just downright SCARY!

I don't like the news, it's scary and over-filtered.

My version of how this thread developed could be completely different from yours even thought he basic facts (should be) the same.

Even worse, sometimes "news" is not even news yet, it's "speculation" ... like... "Researchers may have developed a cure for arthritis" OR even worse than that, it's obvious stuff like the weather "It's raining" No shit
