I have had this problem for some time and every time I try to install SL it asks for a CD can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks!

Are you sure you're installing SL to an onboard hard disk? IIRC, the SL installer defaults to C:/, so if you have a partitioned drive or something, you might be inadvertantly installing to your CD-ROM drive.
At least, that's what I think your problem is.
