Just came across this link:

http://www.lowmorale.co.uk/creep/

It's a flash video somebody has made to go along with Creep by Radiohead. It's absolutely fantastic.

That is all. :)

Very cool stuff. Love the fade in fade out drawing, and of course that song has always grabbed me. :)

Thanks for the link.

Does anyone know what the DCMA rules are, as far as embedding someone else's copyrighted material (in this case, "Creep" by Radiohead) into a derivative work?

Does it require written permission? If there is no money being made on the derivative work, does a royalty have to be paid?

Curious minds want to know... I could have a lot of fun with some of my favorite music and Flash and the new streaming video in SL if I don't run into DCMA issues.

Pretty deep linking is fine.. Copying it and re-broadcasting isn't.

I'd like to know too, though..

quick copyright rule of thumb........ if you use somebody's copyrighted material for anything other than short clips for a review or some educational purposes (fair use stuff) you have to have permission. period. whether you make money from it doesn't matter.
