I got myself a 120 gig seagate Vorgs grate. Now what on earth am I ever going to do with all this disk space. I had enough trouble filling up my 40 gig HD let alone this 120 gigs is like 240 CDs! Where are those damn DVD games anyway. DVD burners are so damn cheap these days but even if I got one I would have nothing to do with it. Except watch movies, which is boring. Well at least now I can install a decent windows version instead of this 98se crap. w00t

Heh.
anything that's capable of running win98 is better then the carcass I've got next to me:
a cyrix 5x86 (soket 3 chip (ie 486 class) running at the stately rate of 100 cycles a second. 16 MB of ram (woof! my video card has more then that!), and a 640 MB compressed hard drive.
and the owner had the balls to run windows 95 on it.
My Palm Tugsten E runs faster then this thing.
I'm surprised that SL runs under 98se at all, considering that it's not officially supported.

Heh Jim, I wouldnt mind taking that puter off yer hands. My mom presently uses a 486-33.. and she can browse the web with opera 3.62, NS 4.62 or IE5 under windows 3.11! Its actually quite good. Just pray you dont hit a flash animation or something with a lot of popups or your cpu will fry

With its whopping 2mb of video ram, it could run Tomb Raider somewhat jittery in a small window with no 3D acceleration. Edit. It ran well with Win95.

I used to run 95 on a 486 back when I was a freshman. A glorious DX2-66 with a whopping 1 meg vram and 8 megs normal memory. And a 420 meg HD Glorious, glorious age of the VGA. You didnt need to worry about how fast your computer was, all games had the same graphics and ran just fine Plus the games actually didnt suck. Back in beta, before I knew about prim limits, I thought it would be cool to make a "graphics lib" in LSL that used a 320x200 display. Then I came to realize that such a display would fill up 6 and a half sims, which back then was most of the world =D
