1.5.14 Preview Bugs, Bothers, Observations?

Anyone who's gotten onto the 1.5.14 Preview have any thoughts so far?
The only bug I ran into is that even though it's on the map, crossing into the sim called "the bomb" is nearly impossible and you just end up in an above 256 location in a neighboring sim.
Also, on the preview client there is a dropdown menu for different places to log in to (all internal stuff I guess with "Colo" being the preview grid.) Any thoughts on if this is a preview of some future idea of SL where we can log in to various different "grids?"

I can't get into the Preview. I keep getting stuck at "Connecting to Region."

I did notice there is now another window that opens which looks like a debug window. Is this permanent?

Chris Linden mentioned in the grid that the second DOS window is just a debug thing.

Oh ok. I kind of like having it, but wish I understood more of what it was displaying :)

That's called a console window. DOS doesn't really exist any more. Update your lingo :) Just an FYI so you don't sound old and out of touch.

That drop down thing is nothing new. I remember seeing it many, many months ago on a Mac beta build. They put it in their test builds, so they can connect to different grids. Char, who will probably bounce between teen and regular grids, will probably get access to a client with this type of drop down, so she can access both.

For all I know, the Lindens may use builds with this regularly. *shrug*

Can't access preview.

The preview refuses to recognize that it has been dowloaded and installed several times, insisting that it be downloaded and installed again.

DOS does too exist! It's one of the four operating systems I can boot my computer into.

The big button I hit with my right pinkie to say things does say "return" on it.

Back on topic...has anyone seen release notes for .14?

There is a new version available message shows up over and over.

Despite having re-downloaded and reinstalled the new preview several times, there is always a "There is a new version available message, would you like to download and intall it?" message.

What does it mean to mention something in the grid? Does "the grid" mean inworld?

Sorry if that was vague. Yeah Inworld on the preview grid. But the newly upated version doesn't have the command console anymore and runs more like the normal 1.5.13 so it doesn't really matter anymore. Oh, and for the record, the problem I had getting into the sim "the bomb" is fixed. I'm not running into any major bugs now. Looking forward to this being released to the main grid. :)
