Not completely off topic (and I'm sure it's been a thread at some point before), but a question just for fun.
I was in SL while listening to a randomized playlist and Orgy's "Fiction" (Dreams In Digital) started playing.

"Do you wonder what it's like
living in a permanent imagination?"

...from the song felt fitting for SL and made me wonder if anyone has a favorite song/band, or genre to listen to while playing SL?
Heck, anyone have a playlist specifically for SL?

Streaming music can be a little Too random at times, so I usually stick with my playlists personally. :D

seems like from flying around that the 80's channel is the default SL sound track. not that it's a bad thing. :D

i've tried to find "the SL song" before but SL's too varied and diverse to nail it down. it's kinda like trying to find the song that represents the whole earth ("we are the world"? nah......)

I don't listen to music all that much anymore 'cuz my ears went downhill, but sometimes there are funny bits of synchronicity: like the time I was flying past some white houses and the streaming audio for the parcel just happened to play the Vanessa Carlton song of the same name. Music can help set a mood -- there was another time when I started jumping over some hills and dashing, and A Flock of Seagulls "I Ran" came on. Funneh eh? :)

I like the random factor so I don't have a specific artist/playlist but there is a song lately that resonates with me as being SL-ish. More as a song someone from my past would dedicate to me.

Snippet from "Let me Go" by 3 doors down

In my head there's only you now
This world falls on me
In this world there's real and make believe
And this seems real to me

[Chorus]
You love me but you dont know who I am
I'm tore between this life I lead and where I stand
And you love me but you dont know who I am
So let me go
Let me go

I really love the "In this world there's real and make believe
And this seems real to me" line. It very well sums up that
surreal feeling of falling for someone online and feeling them in
your heart when logically you know it makes no sense. :))

*totally mocks the heck out of Torley for listening to Flock Of Seagulls*

*begs Torley to share the headphones*
