I know SL is running MYSQL 4.04...
But there may still be remnants from 3.23.
I ran several big operations under 3.23, but am happy to report that under 4.04 (mainly for performance, but also a few features) that ALL IS WELL. That behing said...
Here are a few tips...
In my.cnf (under /etc or wherever) with set-variable =
max_connections = 65536
max_user_connections = 65536
max_connect_errors = 9999999
key_buffer = (25% of ram)
max_allowed_packet = 1 meg (any larger? Are textures being stored as blobs?)
These default to "1" on my.cnf. NOT a good idea. Figure your basics that are NOT the basics.
Adios,
