Unable to sleep, I logged on in the wee hours to an interesting surprise -- my island was surrounded by swimming fish! A new user has come up with a very creative idea... a fish hatchery. It's located in Natoma (37, 200) and seems to auto-generate a fish maybe every five minutes or so. The fish then swims placidly around randomly. Drop by and have a look. You can even push them around a bit.  |

Update: after watching the hatchery object, it looks like it generates 1 fish every minute. Er... maybe this isn't such a good idea.
Am containing them with an ACME(tm) Fish Containment Device (also known as a net).
Sushi, anyone?

Thats our new neighbor in Natoma, Truk. Not sure if he is here in the forums yet. Each fish disappears in 10 minutes. I guess living in a leanto affords finances for fish hatcheries.

So if a fish is born every minute and lives 10 minutes, after 100 minutes, 100 fish have been born and 10 have died, leaving 90, 1000 minutes, 900 fish... ?

Not to carp too much on folks I don't know, but I'm sure he's just doing it for the halibut. Perhaps fishing for compliments...?
Of course, if these fish have spawning as their sole purpose, this could become a large-scale problem.
And that could really cause a roe.

Each one dies after 10 minutes? Okay, that explains why in the morning there weren't hundreds of fish in my net.
They seem harmless, except that some of them get hung up in "no script" areas and don't die.
