The sad thing is that it would be interesting to do a mock trial of a user, and given that Taco made a public display of himself, he's only fair game..
However, between those who are paranoid that this is just a further extension of griefing, those who think posting on the forums is just a cry for attention (it's not, what else are you supposed to do on forums?) and those who simply can't help themselves from hijacking every thread that gets posted on these forums, that mock trial will not occur. _____________________

If people would like to enpanel a jury, do so in-world. I would gladly come sit in-world to participate in such an event.
However, posting another thread about this topic accomplishes nothing. The only benefit this thread could have served would have been if it has been poll enabled. But that didn't happen. |

I think Taco has purposely thrown himself onto the public stage, and probably wouldn't even mind a mock trial, especially considering it would have no teeth.
I think as a way to investigate bottom up dispute resolution, it would be an interesting experiment. Besides, the Lindens, while majorly cool people, are certainly not gods and truthfully are no better than anyone else at figuring out what to do here. Sometimes we treat them like wise sages that always make the right decision for us. That really seems odd to me.. _____________________
