why would i have a web site for second life? i can post 3d content in game, host events to relay information, or set up perpetual slide shows and advertise them on my card.

if i want to advertise second life in first life, i'll do it with an email signature that links them to the linden site with my signup code.

I know of only two myself. These were both created because there were no SL Fan Sites out there yet (though I'm sure that is not the only reason they were created).

One is: "SL Universe". The forums on this site are up and running, the rest of the site has yet to go live. But I was able to test read and interact with what the site will offer and its going to be wonderful. The link to the current forums is:

The other one is: "The Second Life Fan Club". This site is also just getting off the ground and has a lot of great features already available. The link to that site is:

I think Fan Sites are great and can offer a lot to the community of game players. :)

I appreciate the opinion--but perhaps I was unclear with my post... I understand you can do everything aforementioned, which is what's so wonderful about second life.

I had remembered two fan-sites (not necesarily SL Advertisements) from back in Beta.... Tcoz, and Joan & Harold had one. I just wanted to see if any more have sprung since then. AND, I might add... that if you do advertise with sl, and someone joins from visiting your site... you can make $L.
