First off I want to Thank Cristiano Midnight for his eloquent mannorizims while visiting Jade Wolf last night. I was in a discussion of Business with Cubey Terra for some Items which I needed created and still yet overheard Cristiano's Conversation with a new member of SL. He helped the new person with Items bought from the new designer Pahoa and my self have been sponsoring "Tipsy Titan". His actions and manorizims exemplified what I feel on a professional level was that of a true professional and valued member of SL. My hats off to you Mr. Midnight.

Second a sincere Thank you to Cubey Terra for his rapid responce and quick modifications on an object I needed created for a gift. Again Thank you Cubey and a quote from MR. Spock from Star Trek..."live long and Prosper!" you are truly a unique individual and may your SL experience grow.

Third another Sincere Thank you based on Information I just seen in another thread goes out to Pendari for carrying herself in such a manor to exemplify camaraderie amongst all clothing makers alike. Her offering out Names of other Makers of Clothing Truly shows her Characture and love of a better SL. Again Pendari thank you hun and may your business prosper as well and if you want maybe we can get together sometime and do a Clothers Referal Card for a Despenser for eveyones Stores. Help one help all or wait was that all for one and one for all...hehe.

and 4th last but not least a Sincere Thank you to my dear Friend Baccara Rhodes for her diligence in making things happen a true innovator of events and partys alike. For a Job Well done recently Baccara My hats off to you.

These four people were foremost on my mind this morning and I felt it appropriate to thank them publicly for things done directly for me and indirectly with out my coersion. I think this should be a day we recognize people for the things they have done for us pick 4 and thank them for either a job well done or just for being there when you need them. Keep this one a positive thread but keep it going and lets see what has been done for YOU in SL lately that you feel deserves merrit or thank you.

Sincerely, Shadow Weaver

Your very welcome, Shadow. And thanks for the kind words.

To continue this thread, I'd like to mention these people who have recently helped me out:

Trimming Hedges, who helped me with a "listen" problem in my balloon script. Without his help, there wouldn't be any of my balloons floating around.

Apotheus Silverman, the founder and co-owner of Zoe Airfield. His help testing and bug fixing has been invaluable, and he's been an upstanding SL contributor. Have a look at his stealth fighter... the landing gear actually work!

Kyle Chaos, who figured out why the balloon wouldn't move on the z-axis. That was an important step, I think.

Aces Spade, who provided the idea for the rocket shoes (ask me about getting a pair!), and Stillpink Sandgrain, who tested and retested my lastest creations. She's the one in the pink balloon. :)

Beryl Greenacre, who lets me sell hoverpods and Star Trek uniforms from her shop in Tan.

Finally, thanks to everyone who buys and flies/drives/hovers the things that I make. It's really a rewarding experience to see someone having fun in something that I made.

Cheers!

I was thinking this exact same thing Shadow! :) I always try to refer people to other clothiers for things I don't carry or different styles than mine, but my brain is like a sieve. Something like this would be a giant help in spreading the wealth. I've always loved that all the clothing makers are so non-competitive and that we all try and help each other out. With all the great new designers out there these days it's just hard to keep track! If you decide to do this please count me in.

Shadow,

Thank you so much for your kind words. Now I feel bad that I took a picture of Daynon Valentino with a clothing box on his head. :) Seriously, your post left me speechless, which is not easy to do.

Cristiano

PS - my list of thank yous is also coming :)

Hello all.

I will have to agree with all of the above.. but a very important part is missing..

Shadow and Pahoa have spent countless hours helping others, new players included with the clothing aspect and other parts of the SL. (Both being Mentors and it shows)

They gave me a space to show it off and call my own in a time I was unsure of my abilities or even if I wanted to pursue designing. I thank you both for that chance.

There are many people out there in this game that make it the place it is..The list would fill alot of space. so instead

CHEERS to you all.. You make SL a place worth living in.

Shadow, you are so very sweet! Thank you for your kind words. They mean a great deal! As for the "Clothers Referal Card", I think it is a wonderful idea and will do all I can to help get this up and running! :)

Also, in keeping with the spirit of the suggestion in your post, I would like to give out a deep felt "Thank You" to the following groups of people (I had to do it in groups!) ---

* First off, as Tipsy stated, there are just so so many wonderful people in SL. I cannot begin to describe how wonderful so many people have been to me and to others in this game. A huge thank you to all of you that give that extra bit of yourself to make this game such a wonderful community!

* Next I would like to Thank Garth Fairlight, Pitcua Chang, Jai Nomad, and the rest of the Taber Village residents. These great people have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome in the Taber Village. I have not had the time I have wanted to spend there yet, but they helped me with land, and a cottage, and a beautiful place to call home. A part of me is still in shock at how kindly and warmly this group has treated me. I cannot wait to get to know them even better!

* I would also like to thank Cristiano Midnight, Launa Fauna, Oz Spade, and Marylin Murphy for the use of their homes and land for me to work on my shop items while we are going through this transition. Letting me put up my huge backdrop and take pictures, and all else involved with getting everything in order before the 12th. This kindness may not seem much to some people, but without their help, I know I would not be ready come D-Day.

* Another Thank You I would like to send out to Malachi Petunia, Myradyl Muse, Cristiano Midnight, Tony Tigereye and Cienna Rand. All of whom have created objects or scripts that help decorate and/or make my place functional and much better than it could ever be if I was left to my own devices. Out of the kindness of their hearts they have just made these items for me, and now everytime I see these things I am reminded of how good hearted some people can be. Nothing brings a smile to my face faster than that!

* And last, but by no means least, a huge Thank You to Candie Apple, Lynn Lippman, Johnathan Marten, Makala (Dawson I think, though I always want to say Marten.. hehe), and Launa Fauna. These great people urged me not to give up my dream of doing the Fashion Show Events that I so dearly want to bring to the SL community. They supported me through excitement and almost tears (at the thought of losing it), and have offered their land and help whenever I am in need. Thank you so much for not letting me lose my vision!

What a wonderful world SL has been to me. I cannot imagine all the excellent people I still have yet to meet and get to know. I look to the future of this "game" and know that this community will always be an asset and joy to my life as a whole!! :)

The sudden appearance of the auction for Island has had me distracted, but I wanted to take the time to write up some thank yous to a couple of people. Thank you again Shadow. I think as we go through our lives, online and off, we don't take enough time to thank the people who matter to us.

First of all, I owe a lot of gratitude to Beryl Greenacre. For a long time, I hated Second Life. A game world can be a lonely place when you know no one, and during beta and beyond it was a bit on the empty side. Meeting Beryl in SL, who I knew vaguely from seeing her in There, provided at least the comfort of knowing someone in SL. She eventually did something that changed my entire game experience. The simple act of loaning me the money to buy a small plot of waterfront land in Federal when Federal was wiped clean of old beta property was the start of everything I would go on to do in Federal, and I owe her for that. While I don't get to speak to her as much as I would like anymore since we tend to move in different circles, Beryl Greenacre is one of the finest people I know in SL and has my eterenal gratitude for her kindness to me.

Second, I would like to thank Taeja Diaz, for something she would not probably expect me to thank her for. Watching someone go from having no interest in SL and hating it, to having a passion for it and flourishing in it is very cool to see. Watching you create all the beautiful furniture that you have created over the past several months has done a lot to keep me inspired to keep building and growing in SL. It saddens me that the 1.2 changes have affected you so severely, but I continue to constantly look for ways for you to continue what you were doing even within the new limits. Thank you for letting me see a side of your creativity that I had no idea existed - I have looked forward to seeing each new thing you have created.

To the illustrious Pendari Lorentz, I want to say thank you for helping to open up my social horizons in SL. I tend to get very focused inward sometimes on my work, but the sheer force of your personality has forced me to get to know the flock of followers you always have in tow. It has also been fun and challenging to create things for you, even if you hound me to death to get them done and call me an ass when they aren't :) It has come as no surprise to me that you have been as successful as you are in SL, and I will be forever glad that I brought you into this game with me, against your will :) ("What, you just f*cking got me to There, and now you want me to play another game?";)

To Launa Fauna and Oz Spade, you are both endlessly entertaining to hang out with, and it has been very cool to watch your talents grow (who knew that Oz would become the particle master or that Launa would have Lindens running around in her clothing?). You have supported me in every possible way, and that means more to me than I could say (Well, except for Oz, who always has to point out how unreasonable I am being just to annoy me :) )

And finally, I would be amiss if I did also not thank BigJohn Jade. We all need an arch-nemesis around, it keeps us on our toes and provides us with someone to blame everything on. If nothing else, it has made me want to bid on Island that much more, just to not have to hear Kid Rock songs anymore :)

Wow, Cris, that's a nice thing to say, thanks! I had forgotten about (briefly) lending you the money, I never doubted you'd repay it, you're a real stand-up guy, I knew/know that. ;)

You also helped in making my transition to SL a successful one; it was great to hang out with somebody who was reveling in the creative potential of SL as I was just getting my feet wet and wandering around with the bewilderment of a rank newb. Your building and scripting efforts that you gleefully shared with me helped me see the potential of SL. Meeting you and also Viola Bach (whom I also knew from There) in my first week in SL helped me realize what a nifty place SL is.

(And of course I'm pulling for you to get the island, I can't wait to see what you have planned for it, you do such great stuff. :) )

First I want to say, there are so many people who I've met in SL that to thank them all would take too much space, if I leave someone out it doesn't mean I'm not thankfull for you every person in SL contributes to make it as great as it is today. Onward...

Thank you Pendari, while I would have eventualy come to SL if it wasn't for your constant hounding I don't think I would have gotten here as soon as I did. You have a very good talent for being aggresivly nice about something :) Also thank you for not just ditching me once I got here but showing me around and being a great friend.

Thank you Cristiano, you inspired me to want to build even more than I did in the first place and continue to do so, you are a great person and friend, and you're very nice on the eyes. I always enjoy talking to you wether it be some mindless banter or something somewhat intellectual, you should be worried we have so much in common.

Thank you Launa, I love talking with you and hanging around, you have one of the nicest looking human avatars I've seen, and create awsome looking clothes. I'm glad I met you and you aren't bugged by me enough to tell me to go away.

Thank you to Darque Grimm, Corwin Weber (if its two b's i'm sorry), and Cienna Rand, this is in order to make up for space, you are all not less equal. Darque you are providing me with great help in building The Black Sun, you have great skills in scripting and making some kick ass avatars. Corwin you also have done good scripting work and were a great neighbor and provide for some good conversation. Cienna your DJing is something I never try to miss, great work with scripting also, and fun to hang around with.

As I stated before this is all crunched for space, I also want to thank Edav, Myr (can't spell your whole name sorry), Taeja, Tony, Gracie, Kex, Candie, Maxx and anyone else who I see around SL often who make it well something I love to be in.

Also I want to thank everyone who meets me for putting up with me, I know there are times when I can be... well... weird. So thank you to all you great people who make SL such an awsome place. :D

ok, I'm crying right now so please excuse any typeing errors.

First of I want to thank Cristiano. For dragging me into second life and getting me out of "there". You really do inspire me to build.
You were there for me when times got tough. Thank you for being a wonderful friend.

Thank you Pendari and Grace for forcing me to sell my clothing. Grace at gunpoint. Both of you are crazy.

Oz, what can I say? If I'm doing something crazy you can be sure Oz is not far. You really brighten my day.

I could go on all day but I gotta find a tissue.

I would like to first off echo Shadows thanks to Cristiano, I too value the non-competitiveness of the designers and retailers in SL. This is what makes my time in SL fun and not a "job".
Thank you Cristiano for your professionalism and contributions to our world.
As far as the pic you took, I hope you gave him a copy. I wish I had a pic of my first day in SL when I was floating in the air with just a g-string on and a box on my head with no idea how to take it off or come down. I believe I was too rattled and Bird was laughing too hard to think of taking a pic :)

Cubey, I agree your professionalism is second to none thank you for all the recent special orders and on the spot modifications. You know I love giving gifts for special occasions. You always help me to top the last toy.

As many have said in this thread there are so many people that have made my expierience here what it is. These are the people who's actions and kindness far outweigh any negative experiences I've had.

Thank you all for the many kind words, smiles and helping hands you have endlessly given to me as well as others. You are the ones that make my SL life a good place to be. :)

There are a few people that I am truly blessed to have found and they are foremost on my mind every day.

Shadow, you have become a very important part of my SL life.
The patience you demonstrated while showing me the ropes of PSP is why I have learned so much and been able to come into my own as a designer. I couldn't ask for a better partner.

Bird Feaver and Libby Smith, You are my oldest and dearest friends. thank you so much for dragging me away from TSO. We celebrate, along with Tipsy Titan and CoolhandJim Hanks, one year of online gaming together next week. As Libby once said "She walked into Shasta's one day. We put our arms around her and never let go". You are truly my SL family and no matter the bumps along the way, blood is thicker and it always comes back to us. I love you guys, and know that I am truly blessed.

Tipsy, thank you for your kind words. We go back a long way and I have also seen the countless things you do for others. You are a valuable part of the SL world as we know it.

Thank you to everyone who has ever taken the time for a newbie, sent a smile, or lent a helping hand. We are a great community and I hope this thread continues it's celebration of that.

((HUGS))

Today is another day of thanks for me to give.

First to Chip Midnight with his explinations even grumblings at times about the "1 pixel in the leg region of the crotch on the templates" made me strive harder for a better understanding of the new templates and develope a pattern that works. Confirmation of this can be through Briana and Taessa hehe. So Chip My hats off to you for driving me to near madness to eliminate that one pixel problem. Please Note this is a positive thread his complaints over n over to linden labs about the template forced me to look at things in a different light and try to figure out why things worked the way they do. Through his attempts to get linden labs to make a better template made me look deeper within myself for a truly better understanding of how things work for this I am truly thankful. And Chip if you want a copy of the Alpha that reduces that 1pixel stretch come see me at Jade Wolf and I will get you a simple Region Alpha that covers it for you and you can mod from there as you see fit.

Second To Pahoa Jade my partner and truly valued love in my life. Her Gentle Gestures and kind words always spoken in my ear kept me from going mad at times. Her Growth in clothes making tickles me when she says "come look at this or hun what do you think of that" makes me beam with pride of how fast she has accelerated. I am also proud of her because of her patience with new people she always showes a loving and caring touch when addressing them. With that she now has moved into Mentorship and will be hosting her own events soon, she is my center, my friend, my love, my companion, my partner, may our work and efforts to make SL a fun place be together always.

Third is to Libby Smith, Hmm where to start with this unique and gracious woman her tenacity to make things beautiful truly exlimplifies what a builder in SL should be looking at. Her Unique Ideas on textureing and her diligence to continue to learn better methods astounds me every time I see one of her new creations. Less than 4 months ago she wouldnt build to save her and now she is a building maniac even with the prim restrictions in SL she finds better ways to make things look 10x better than they did before. So to my Friend Libby Smith Luv ya hun keep up the good work and keep astounding me at every turn.

Fourth, To a couple of Lindens that have always been there for me when I need them.

First to Char Linden my first Real contact and teacher in SL. I remember the days when I would run to her soon as I made my first tshirts and give her one each day. She was the one that asked me to be a mentor when there were only 5 of us total. We worked hard and played hard back then and for her showing me the ropes Initialy I am truly thankful.

Second to Colin Linden for the interesting Chats and the complete understanding of things that I did not understand when I called Customer Service. Thank you Colin for your Time and Patience with me.

Fifth to a Very Old and Dear Friend from my first days in SL. Lyra Muse: I remember a time when I would wait for her to log on and it was like a Show n Tell session on a daily basis between us but we drifted seperate ways and run in different circles now. I want to thank her now for her patience with me Initialy and driving me with her compliments she made back then. Thank you Lyra you still are a driving force in SL may all your future endeavors be great.

Last but not least....Bird Feaver the man I met in Designers unlimited so long ago that pissed me off the first night I met him. Who would have thought that he and I would ever become friends. That night he was arrogant and demanding but now that I have gotten to know him he is one of the only male friends I have in the game. He is a truly accomplished builder but even more so a truly Unique individual. His love of playing surmounts his abilities as a builder but he is most enjoyable to be around once you get to know his personality. So To Bird thank you for being my friend and um.....Race you in the boats next week buddy...hehe.

I will post more of who I want to thank as the days and weeks go on. I am making a list..hehe....so be prepared if your name showes up here.

Shadow.

Thanks Shadow. I work with a set of custom templates That I'm constantly tweaking. I have a reference line across the lower body template to mark the boundaries of the crotch smear zone. Makes life a bit easier and saves a lot of uploads. Let's compare notes :)

Its Wednesday and I want to Thank all the Players that come to Shadow Weaver Trivia.

I have to admit these people are the greatist...they handle things with the ut most respect and credibility. They follow the rules and when it comes to the Griefers..hehe They seem to take care of them for me cause they want to have fun and a lot of the trivia questions I throw out Stump them sometimes and other times they shock and amaze me.

To all the participants of Shadow Weaver Trivia.

I thank you.
