I just came across this very cool article by accident as I was searching for some models for a Christmas project I'm working on:

http://www.renderosity.com/index.ez?viewStory=8212&Form.sess_id=24633601&Form.sess_key=1102233453

Something I caught in the comments is that some people are thinking that it costs $995 to join and $195 a month to play! Somehow people aren't catching the $9.95 for life bit.

I couldnt resist it, I had to post a comment on Renderosity about how awsome SL is :)
I had been a regular at R'osity for quite some time when I discovered SL at the end of beta... I've only been back there twice since then - until this article - to see what old pals were up to.
I'm glad I had a cookie for its login... I have no idea what my old password was!

There's alot of great artists in that community, and it will be good for SL to get a few of them hooked ;)
