In anticipation of a new upcoming project that will be opening it's doors shortly, I am restructuring and moving resources around. The future looks very bright and I am very excited about what is coming, here's your chance to benefit from change!

The city grid style lots of SL's most unique land form, Kissling Isle, are now for sale! Looking for the perfect lot to build your new business or skyscaper? This is it! With some of the most stunning views in SL you'll be quite happy looking out your window down onto the rest of SL. Do not miss this oppertunity, these lots are sure to go fast as they have done so in the past!

Lots vary in size and price accordingly, with several standard sized ones and a few extra large ones or smaller corners. Prices range from L$1440 to L$7776.

Jump on over to Kissling and fly up to the top of the island to browse and purchase the lots. When you find the one(s) you'd like, simply right click them, choose 'Edit Land' from the pie menu, click the 'About Land' button followed by the 'Buy' button.

I look forward to seeing what exciting things you'll bring to Kissling!

No flame intended, but does anyone else here think Kissling is Ugly?
I mean I like the whole city idea, and even the basic shape of the land, but must it stick out so far up in the sky, and so vertically too?

well now i'm in a quandry. do i want to build a park in front of the church, the pretty dragonfly building, or right in the middle of town?

i do like being close to the bookstore. i think that's a great idea. i wonder if people will publish new material in second life. i think i can frame better down in front of the dragonfly building. of course i have no idea what will grow up around me.

thank you all for helping me decide. hugs all around.

What's the prim usage like in Kissling these days? IIRC it was around 100% a few weeks back..

Sitting at 70% with most of the land cleared out... There are some really beautiful yet prime intense builds there already...

i only need about 200 prims to build a park square i can swap plants and such occasionally to keep it varied and interesting.

there are very few people actually living in the sim. i think it can be quite nice if people will just be sensible about usage.

Update: 2 more east side lots have gone up for sale. These are right on the border of the island and have spectacular views. Inlucing the 2 remaining south side ones that leaves only 4 lots left for sale. Get them before they're gone!

in case anyone is concerned about the prim count int he sim, just as an fyi i will be moving my store location in kissling (thats the dragonfly building ;) ) to chatruese in the next couple weeks. (the cathedral will remain, tho i will be reworking it for efficiency soon as well) im not sure exactly how much of the sims resources i am chewing up with the store, but i know it is a decent amount. i'll post back to this thread once the move is complete :)
to those considering purchasing one of the lots, I have to say that I have been very happy with the location. the traffic is good, the people are nice, and the view is spectacular :)
It's a lovely selection of lots, get it while the gettin's good ;)

If you end up moving the building with all the remembrance candles will you let me know? I find it a very comforting place and visit it often. (I put a candle in there)

no camille, that will stay where it is :)
I'm glad you find it to be a nice, peaceful spot- thats the chief purpose i had in mind when i built it....a pretty place for quiet reflection :) as long as one person can find that there, its purpose in my mind has been served :)
(my apologies for the sap, the cathedral remains still my favorite of all the projects ive done, its dear to my heart and the one build of mine that i know of a certainty will remain in world as long as i do ) :)
it will be getting a little facelift soon tho, i am looking forward to that :)

yes the cathedral is nice and i, for one, will be happy to have it remain on the mountain.

i'm building a public square in front of the dragonfly building so i'll be sorry to see it go. i might like to purchase the lot though so i can build something else that will complement the park.

thanks for the reply

I'm not particularly fond of the way it justs up into the sky, but it's a real city community, and I just love that part, so I got a plot ;P Hope I can now afford to build my deco building, hee hee hee

Love Ingie

Hello! Sister Rosalie here. I know some of you know who I am, but for those of you who don't, I'm the founder of The Sisters of St. Linden.

I want to thank Nephilaine for building such a beautiful cathedral in Kissling. I spend a lot of time there. I am currently raising money to build a convent. I have had a couple of people donate money and offer their services and talents for the building of the convent, and to those people I am eternally grateful. However, the first step in the process is of course finding land.

If anyone has land or money that they would like to donate, or if anyone has any ideas as to how to get this project on the road, please let me know.

Questions? Comments? Ideas? I would love to hear anything and everything!

Blessings!

Sister Rosalie Peregrine

Are you by any chance related to that crazy randall-whoever-it-was that came spouting gigantic amounts of religious nonsense to these forums a while ago?

Hahaha! Obviously you've never met me in-world! No, no religious nonsense. This has nothing to do with any one particular religion. The convent will be whatever the people of SL make it. Thanks for letting me clear that up!

You know it just occured to me, this fantastic little square in the heart of Down Town Los Angeles, there is a "sink hole" garden/fountain/square for the entrance to a complex, and, well, it'd be a cool structural type of garden to do. Giving the City more depth??? Water animations, with water falls, etc... could be fantastic!!!

oooohhh, maybe I should keep this to myself???.... LOL

Love Ingie

BTW, Howdy neighbor!!!!
