i just can't take being landless anymore!!!!!!!!!!!! i am going to upgrade my membership but have a question. i want to take advantage of first land because it's such an awesome deal......but i want more.....512 is not enough. i would like 1024.....how do i/or can i buy 2 adjacent plots? i know i can only buy first land once, so my adjacent plot will have to be bought at full price. is there an easy way to find first land & normal land that are side by side? or should i just forgo the first land buy & look for 1 plot of 1024?

also, is there an option available to pay you land tier fees in linden dollars instead of us?

thanks in advance for any help.

You could probably go look for a first land plot, check several of them, and see if one of them has an adjacent parcel for sale? Or see with people already living in the sims in which you'd be intersted in buying a first land plot, check if one of the "potential neighbours" would plan on selling, etc.

As for paying in L$, yes you can, but it's probably best not to do it. I've recently discussed this, you'll have it easier to convert some L$ in real cash through GOM or IGE, and use it to pay your tier fees, rather than use the "pay in L$" option.

the reason being the tier cost for 1024m of land at USD is 5$ the cost for that in L$ would be 10000L$ the cost for 10000L$ on Gom today is USD 48.50$ so basically even if you made over 10000L$ a month to pay for the tier fees you would be paying in actuality 48.50$US

It was a private discussion, not a thread here, that is :)

And yes, what Toy said. I guess I should've explained more in details it in my post earlier on, sorry. Basically, its simply that, by comparison, paying in L$ would actually cost you more than paying in real $ and cashing out your remaining L$. You *can* do it. But actually, if you plan on owning 1024 m² and not more, your simple monthly stipend, once exchanged in real cash, would already be enough to cover your fees, and give you some more too.

I would think that there are quite a number of people that want to take advantage of First Land, yet want more than the 512m2 that provides. Such people should pool their resources. If two people team up and each buy adjacent First Land plots, then the first sells his to the second for market value so the second has 1024m2 and the first has L$ to buy 1024m2 elsewhere. Likewise, more than two people can team up if more are interested in getting the First Land discount and one is interested in getting multiple First Land plots in one spot.

Here's a good service an honest land baron could provide... Getting such new players together and orchestrating fair deals between them.
