Yes, it's that time again. If I don't immediately recognize your name (I have a fairly good memory for that kind of stuff), your calling card is going into ze trash bin. No hard feelings, I just have way too many calling cards. Again.

Hah! I need to do this myself soon. I've never been offended when I see (Cancelled) before a name... I mean, for gods sake, I got a goddamn blue flipbook going in my lower-right hand corner most of the time.

Hah! I need to do this myself soon. I've never been offended when I see (Cancelled) before a name... I mean, for gods sake, I got a goddamn blue flipbook going in my lower-right hand corner most of the time. You can turn off those online/offline announcements in your preferences. I find it makes life much better.  I check the IM window or the map pulldowns to see who I know that's online. _____________________

I go through and delete mine often. I don't really care who's online when.
There's always one person who gets their undies in a bunch for getting their card deleted, (like telling someone else they were going to cry and didn't know how they would go on) even though they've never contacted me. Maybe they just really like to keep track of people. _____________________

I got calling cards out the wazoo. They dont bother me, since I never pop open the CC folder.
I got calling cards for Lindens that dont work for LL anymore, people I met in Beta that never came back. Heh, if only we could sell rare, ancient calling cards like we can with baseball cards. I would have more money than zeppi! _____________________

I can't remember exactly the wording but it is in preferences I believe under options and needs to be set before you login.

How do you turn them off and on? i have looked but coulddn't find It should be in one of the tabs from the preferences menu. I think its the first one. Something about 'online notifications' Not inworld right now, but I can check later. (you can access preferences offline or online) _____________________

It is in "Preferences" under the "General" tab, and just uncheck "Print online notifications".
No more blue spamming in the lower right hand corner! _____________________

I know it, it's a tragedy of epic proportions.
Nothing personal though.. I'm a chronic inventory cleaner.
