So, with the recent trend towards 500+ Bingo events daily, can we please, please, please, please, PLEASE somehow disable event notifications?
it's just like, every 30 minutes we get a new IM about Bingo with a new host.
It's getting as bad as genetalia enlargement popups and spam.

Event announcements should be mechanized, and channeled to us in a way that we can turn off.

Don't get me wrong: I like bingo. But, I will second (er third) this motion. Event spam sucks.

I agree we should have control over seeing the event annoucements.
It might be cool if we could scan the events and check the ones we would like to be reminded about. If a event I checked is about to happen, my event tab will start blinking and I can take a look at the events. This would be an automated feature that would free up liasions from the manual chore of making the announcement.

Suggest it for 1.2, all event notices will come in the Dialog in the right top corner, so suggest a "Turn Off Event Notifiers" button.
I agree there should be some opt out.

Since a fellow resident chose to advertise my flaws, I won't get into my preference on To Bingo Or Not To Bingo, but maybe the announcements of such could be reduced to one word...

Yeah I suggested this before...lots of events are great but when you're concentrating on something it can disrupt. Post in "Feature Suggestions"

Briana Dawson What other notification gets lost this way? I have a few items notifying me different stuff too. Would those be affected - errr - turned off?

I don't consider the event announcements that troublesome. It isn't like they have them every 10 minutes or so. In most cases it reminds me to take some time and relax from building/scripting by socializing. More of a 'nerd alarm clock' as it were.

I for one would welcome some sort of measure against event milkers that make it next to impossible to schedule something that actually matters, like a class. A separate calendar for classes and mentor events would be very welcome.
