I believe Lifetime members should get a bit more than what I see that they are getting under 1.2. My suggestion is 3,500 dollars a week, 500 primitives minimun and a lot more land than the yearly subscribers.

We paid megabucks for these memberships, and I believe in return, we should get a lot more than advertised. If I am wrong let me know. But I hope you realize that this did cost a lot of money. Sure we could had settled for less, but we choose to go this route.

Pesonally I thought it was a very fair deal. With land allocation etc. it's equal to paying $25 a month. That means by just paying the equivalent of 9 months you get the rest of your life free. I wish there was a lot of other things that I could pay 9 months up front and get it free for ever afterwards.

I actually divided the basic membership into the 225 and got 18 months but Like I said I could be wrong. But in land ownership the 9 months is probably right.

I just feel that Lifetime members paid a lot of money and should get something more. I probably listed a unrealistic list but it is a good starting point.

I will be with SL a year in January. When I purchased the LT Membership I really thought about it since it was a fair amount to lay out. I then considered how long I'd already played free and how much a montly subscription was.

I got one of the discounted memberships but still, if you divide $250 (is that the full price?) by the original $14.95 (? - round to $15) thats 16.66 months paid and the rest free. Considering the current values and calculations it seems to me a better deal than originally given.

I think it's a fair deal.

There used to be the illusion that you could earn as much as you wanted and then turn around and own as much as you wanted. Those in the highest tiers of cash held know that it was just that, an illusion.

The tax structure in place made a financial glass ceiling where you could continue to earn but if you spent any more you'd end up in the negative weekly due to taxes. Its very frustrating having cash you cant spend.

To everyone who said they could solve the problem by lightening my (or others) wallet, that was no solution at all. It would just make them closer to the ceiling too.

I was not initially happy about the changes but the more I think about them, the more I like them. They are uncomfortable in the transition but in the long term they are going to solve some long standing problems.

I'm a lifetime member and I'm happy with my allotment of land and prims. I started playing SL in June just after beta ended, so I paid the full $225 for my membership, instead of the $165 that beta members paid, and I still think I got a good deal.

One of the most important things right now for SL is to expand their userbase, and the increased choices in the subscription structure in 1.2 will help with that, I think. I also believe we need the fairness of prim allotment tied to land ownership; I know I, for one, am tired of seeing all the bickering going on over prims on forums. This is the most logical way to solve that.

Change is a part of life. It's also a part of SL.

I also think we got a pretty good deal, theres alot of lifetimers around and if we all got more land theres a possibility we might all end up owning most of the land in SL. Of course I wouldn't mind more L$, hehe. But I'm happy with what they're giving lifetimers :)

Thanks to everyone for their views. I agree that this is a very good deal. Thats why I got a Lifetime Membership. I also see that I needed to re-think some things and I now agree with everyone that we are getting a very very good deal. I apologize to the Lindens if I have upset them, and for any grief I have caused in this forum.

Thanks for your views.

I think that anyone who joined prior to version 0.5.0 during the beta test should be given God mode with millions of dollars a week and all the land they want.

:D
