How about adding a calculator to go the other way: given the number of prims you want to use, calculate how much land you need.

Done, Carnildo! I've crossposted to the Script Examples Forum but the message isn't up yet. Attached is an LSL script you can copy into SL.

You can see how much land you own, and how many prims you can use on that much land, but this is more of a PLANNING tool than an auditing one. Besides, the Lindens change and remove those features around so often that it's anyone's guess whether or not they'll be there.

I made a couple lines change to round it up to the nearest 16m2 so it coincides with how much you would actually buy in SL. Hope you don't mind.
I was adding it all to my scripts in-game, and got annoyed seeing 937 prims show up as 4093m2.Just the couple lines dealing with the remainder. |

Thanks Christiano! I could use something like this. I was going to create it myself when I got around to it. I also second the notion for a reverse calculator.

Nice work
![]() Here's a calculator for Windows - type the land size in one box and it calculates the number of prims. Type the number of prims in the other box and it calculates the land needed. Handles 16sqm chunks automatically (try asking it for 1 prim or 1sqm). Licensed under the GNU GPL: http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html It's created in Visual Basic 6. Should run straight away in XP, or after installing the VB6 runtimes in earlier versions of Windows. _____________________

Geez, I usually just take the number of meters and multiply by .22888 to get a ballpark (usually within one or two prims) figure as to how many prims a parcel will support. Simple.

Bah... who wants to do it simple when you can create programs and calculators?
![]() (I hope for the VB program to eventually do more than just calculate land and prims) _____________________
