I watched it this afternoon. I was speechless afterwards as well. I may have even drooled a bit. Can't wait til September.

Looks like they might be doing some retelling of the original story for those who never got into Firefly, which is a waste of time for the rest of us, but I think we can live with that. It's gonna be awesome. Long time coming.

I never got into Firefly, but I am the biggest fan of Buffy and Angel and Joss.... SO... It looks fab..

and it has some faces I recognise!!

Yes, this is excellent! River kicks some ass in that trailer! I have the series on DVD, awesome, awesome stuff.

Seriously, one of the better sci-fi series to come out in years....damn FOX for being such buttcracks with their mishandleing of the series...

They actually cancelled it for a "Fast & Furious"-clone cop show called "Fastlane"....that tanked a month or so later.

The movie (sans network censors) will totally kick booty.

Well you also have to remember that Angel was ended because they were going to have "Dark Skies" on the same network, and they didn't want two vampire shows at once. Then they ended up cancelling Dark Skies before it even got off the ground, so now there's NOTHING!

DAMN THEM ALL

But yeah, Fox is worse for cancelling Firefly. They never even gave it a chance. Thank god for Joss Whedon and his tenacity in keeping all the actors available and all the sets in one piece.

You'll notice that Book is not listed on the website and not shown in the trailer. Though he's credited in IMDB, it's apparent he's not going to be as prominent as he was in the series. Which is a shame, in my opinion, because he was one of the more interesting characters.

It'll be interesting to see how River's character has developed, though. The fluidity with which she kicks ass was definitely a plus. I just wish that I didn't have to wait basically five months to see the damn movie. I also wish I had me a shiny browncoat to wear.

I am so stoked it looks incredible. I'm actually going to want summer to pass quicker just so I can see this.

Book and Kaylee were absent, which is a bit disappointing, I hope they do get into the movie at least in a small way.

Hopefully the movie will be sufficiently well received to convince Fox to restart the series. Let us all pray and write fanatical emails to Fox so that this will happen.

Hopefully the movie will be sufficiently well received to convince Fox to restart the series. Let us all pray and write fanatical emails to Fox so that this will happen.

Kaylee is on the website and she's on the bridge during the trailer. I'd wager she'll be in the movie, but not in a major way. Hopefully her relationship with Simon is clarified and expounded upon a bit in the movie, though.
