Anyone know this band? They are German and pioneers in the noise/industrial movement that began 20 years ago. I got a tip that they put on a hot show live. I was bored out of my mind, guess Im too old. The guys on stage were older than me, so who knows. Can anyone defend these guys? I really wanted to have a good time.

I spend my time at the show taking pictures of peoples shoes.

I stopped taking German music seriously when I found out David Hasslehoff (of Knightrider and Baywatch) was a huge hit over there with his song "Is everybody happy... Yah! yah!"

I later learned numerous other mediocre American actors go to Europe and release CD after CD of material that is so gosh darn awful, that it can spontaneously cause a white Rino's head to explode at 350 meters.

On behalf of all decent people in the world, I would like to apologize for whatever damage these American actors may have caused abroad, by singing, participating in ice shows, or by endorsing low quality confectionary food products.

some of my 'music' has been compared to them, as well as Throbbing Gristle..

but some is nothing like that at all..

what? you want to know what i'm talking about? oh.. ok:

my music as The Glyph

i now go by the artist name: Natu Visu ..but that doesn't really matter right now.

Excellent shoe pics Loki! Sorry to hear you were bored. I can almost picture you walking around...looking for shoes to catch your eye and then watching the expression on the shoe wearers face as you snapped their pic. LOL

Cybin...I listened to a few of those songs from the link you posted. THe song "I Exist".....BRILLIANT!!! I love it! Dont really listen to that type of music on a regular basis but do enjoy a good song every now and again. Thanks :-)

Lale,

thank you for the kind words. that song is the last on a concept album. kind of cliche though..

Kromokron: The mental breakdown and resolve of a bio-mech

..or something like that.

the story (loosely) is that there's this bio-mech, more machine than human, and he's trying to integrate his self-awareness and come to terms with what he is. there's a progression of sorts until he comes to a resolve about the whole thing and states, "I Exist".

i really have to update the album art for it to include my current artist name.. and maybe i should look for a better way to sell it than through CafePress?

..but thanks

Meine seele brennt! Einstürzende Neubauten are pretty good. I like their quieter stuff best though. Their cover of Morning Dew by The Grateful Dead is very fun.

Those pictures are like Doris Wishman goes to a show. :)
