Some of you know Maerl Underthorne and her health condition. I received this email today from her brother -in-law and thought posting this here would be a way to let ppl who care know, in case i miss you in game...i love good news

I very rarely check this email so sorry for the delay in the response. On dec. 28th Maerl went into a comma which lasted 3 weeks...she wasnt responding to any attempts at tactile stimulus at all, her sister and i had flown to arizona thinking the worst, then on friday of last week she responded to a nurse , and is as of now, awake and alert, the doctors are saying she is in a remission of sorts, her red cell count is normal now, which they cannot explain to us...she is still, or was very weak, but still has my laptop, so as soon as she is well enough im sure youll be hearing from her...Maerl told me alot about you and the game "second life"...it was her world for awhile...

OMG I had no idea it was THAT bad. I'm glad she seems to be recovering and I hope her recovery will be permanent.

Thank you so much for posting that Jemma. I have been so worried about her. Hopefully that coma was her body shutting down to devote it's energies to healing her.

Since Maerl's post we've been lurking out here wondering how she has been doing - waiting for the other shoe to drop, for good or ill. At last, we get the news - and it's good! Awesome.

Maybe a few hundred of us thinking good thoughts for her can help after all.

She was my neighbor in Immaculate when I was a noob..she is a very gracious lady... glad she is better...Thanks Jemma..I wondered about her the other day when I was in Immaculate.

I met Maerl when she left a green bean in Slate under a prop I owned that used to be hers. That started such a sweet friendship... What a lovely lady... I will say a special prayer for her recovery. PLease pass that on to her and her family. With love, Baccara

<slowly opens the forum doors, peeking inside..>....hehehe.....hey everyone, just wanted to drop you all a short lil note thanking you all for your thoughts and prayers< they really worked!>...im on the road to healthy town so the docs here say, and scheduled to skip this popsicle stand in 2 weeks, 1 day, and 12 hours <grin> ive been in game again since monday nightish, my head swims with all the new changes, ive only a basic account as of now, but once i get home im sure the building bug will hit again, for now i just relish being in the company of some of the finest people ive ever met...Jemma, Abby, you both are the best friends anyone could hope for--these two people held onto all my toys, and a small stretch of beach for me when no one else really knew what was going to happen, they ARE in my definition the best sort of people in the world, people you can trust, people who's hearts out weight any ive met.. i love you both...thanks guys!!!!<grin> People like Devlin Gallant, who was the first to find me wondering around aimlessly the first day back lol..my elbows are in good care with him around <chuckle chuckle>..and everyone else ive yet to catch up with...ill be, as always hanging out in Ritch in the wildlife preserve, communing with the bears, wolves and wild sealife...hope to see you all soon!!!!
