I think the subject holds the bulk of the question, but no one seems to know what Outfit Composite Limit effects/does, so... I'm asking for a Linden or other knowledgeable response about what exactly it effects and does.

If I may venture a guess... When you wear a bunch of stuff on your av, some bits of clothing overlap. All of these textures are "baked" into a single texture that is applied on your avatars mesh. Maybe this is the outfit "compositing" that you can limit? I dunno.

I think it has to do with how many different avatar textures it will display on screen at once... crank it up to 100, and each avatar will get 100% of their texture allocation. The lower the number, the more the avatars "share" the texture "load" and so they look a bit less defined in large groups.

Ah good guesses, I figured it had something to do with that. I'd still like a Linden reply though just for total clarification. Another theory I had was that it does nothing, they just wanted 4 boxes there so added another one thats just fun to click
