) The Lindens in particular, are extraordinary. I have never heard of a dev team that is so open to the community, so open to fixing and changing things based soley on community input. They are always there to talk to, and what you say actually matters to them. It is amazing. Granted, Second Life wouldn't be Second Life without the people. And this is a great bunch of people. I have only met the greatest, friendlest people here, with imaginations that I never dared dream of, and the skill to make it happen. Second Life would not be without the phenomenal people that it has, both Lindens and Lifers. I thank all of you.
Obviously, I really like Second Life. Which makes what I'm about to say, very depressing. Goodbye.
While not a lot of you know me, everyone I have met left a lasting impression on me. So I really don't want to leave. However, my stupid 'Real Life' (whats that? lol) is far too busy lately. It was much more calm when I started out, but things have gotten crazy, and do not look like they will be abating anytime soon. I hung on for this last month because I couldn't NOT pay the Lindens something... I would feel too bad. However, my schedule has me only getting on a few times a month, and it doesn't make any sense to continue paying for something I have no time to use
.I've got 5 days left, and I plan to be in world as much as possible. (I've got a few K too blow too...
) And I just wanted to say thanks, to everybody. Because every one of you makes Second Life what it is, and you all are doing a great job.I'll be putting my poster right above my desk, and wearing my shirt often. I will not forget you, and I will continue to tell everyone I know about such a wonderful community. Perhaps, in a year or so from now, I may find the time to rejoin. Perhaps not. But I wanted everyone to know how much I thought about this program, this community. Good luck with the rest of your second lives, I hope they were as good as mine was. Thank you once again, and stay safe.
