Drahma is necessary

If it weren't for drahma, would we really have anything to post about?

Think about it.

Rants, venting, suggestions, complaints, feature requests, technical issues... all of them have some element of drahma - at least to the person making the initial post. If that weren't the case, no post would be made and the status quo would continue. Even humorous posts/threads have an element of drahma if you think about it.

Then come the pilers-on. I am speaking of more than mere drahma queens, trolls, and other such attention-seeking whores. There are the "me-toos", the "but'ers" (as in, "I agree BUT...", or "yeah BUT..";), the whiners, the snitches and the "we're pals so I need to post in your thread" folks - equaling the "I don't like you so I am going to hijack this thread" folks.

Then there are the real pains in the ass. The moderators. They have the power to piss on all of us at their whim. They can sanction but never can find a way to reward posts or posters. And because of that, because of that very issue, they are the biggest drahma queens of all - their very existence, even silently reading a thread and being noted by a non-moderator can cause drahma.

Drahma is a necessity. Where would we be without it? Certainly not here.

Exactly, Korg. Just doing our duty to feed them what they need, huh? :)

Sure! Go right ahead. We'll chime in to support you as and when we can with some colorful expletives.

Actually, I wonder if its considered a personal attack if I call myself a fucking annoying bitch? If not, I wonder if it's a personal attack if someone else reports it?

And then, when people grow up, people realize they don't need to bully and tease and pick on people to have fun and/or quell their feelings of insecurity and self-doubt.

You wouldn't be suggesting that people would stoop to name calling and ridicule as a means to compensate for their lack of humanity and open-mindedness. *gasp*

Even though it burns my biscuits, I gotta say that I agree with Korg on this issue. Drahma is the one thing that forces us to find our footing, prove our arguments, release our tension and change our world.
The forefathers of America were Drahma queens, the civil rights activists were Drahma queens, Chris Columbus was a Drahma queen...of course they actually created good drahma. But the majority still considered them the inciters of drahma. They rocked the boat, questioned authority and were loud enough to make their voices heard. So here's to drahma may it continue. Though we may have to shovel through 10 million tons of bs to find one peice of diamond drahma, It'll be worth it.

And I'm glad to have him! (as a fellow asshat that is)

I think I'd find something stupid and assinine to post regardless of the circumstances -- but I guess some people need online drama to replace a lack thereof in real-life.

Because honestly, if some of the things posted here were the worst of my troubles, I'd be considering my lot in life pretty damn good.

And now, to contribute :

Go fuck yourselves.

:)

Except... I dunno, I think the founding of an Independant country form the British Empire, and the movement for equality for all races, genders, and religions is a WEE bit more important than the worthless drama that goes on in these forums.

It's not about shoveling through bad drama. It's about stop having drama about the stupidest effing crap!

Hiro, I never said that it was banal drama, just that it was drama (concerning the forefathers and such) . But what is stupid to one is of monumental importance to another. The King likely thought the new Americans were being stupid as well, many thought civil rights activists were stupid and most everyone though Chris Columbus was off his rocker. They created drama that seemed stupid at the time but ended up benificial. Tis all I was saying.
