WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. Its interesting but face it, teleportation isnt possible. Even if it was (seeing as im cristian - NOT a priest, so dont blame any of their shit on me  ) possible I would have issues with death and cloning. I believe when the body is killed (even if their is an exact replica) YOU are dead, the soul leaves the body never to return, even to a replica. So teleportation would just kill the person(and the souls that come into the body afterward) over and over and over. *rant off*

Star Trek style teleportation isn't the immediate goal of this technology. Faster computers and possibly quantum computers is the desired result here.

Faster computers... would be nice huh? I guess if the speed electrcity travels (near light speed I think) becomes a computer's main bottleneck, this might help? Total guess of course. Har...but everybody knows Windows will always be the main bottleneck on a computer!

Of course, using Prime Intelect as an example... the faster computer would make research easier and so you get faster computers, then faster research...
