That's so funny. These days, you can spot someone who is in no way "l33t" by the leetspeak. It has no more meaning. If they knew how and why it started, the purpose it once served, (and it DID serve a purpose) they might be properly ashamed of themselves for pretending, but that would take too much effort.

lol, something I always wonder... the parents who need to know this, are they standing behind their kids while the kids are on the puter? or do most 40+ year olds actually have good enough eyesite to look over their paper across the room. If they are actually present and watching what kid is going to do anything interesting? If they actually know how to hack or monitor their kids conversations electronically, they actually don't already know all this and better than that article?
