You can come build that in Zoe our Mythic Miniatures contest starting on Friday. Think 1000 prims and 2300sq.m of terraformable land will do it? :-)

Oh yes, I will post in every core sim land texture thread I see. Up with green and down with brown. :D

You just did... I've reserved a spot for you. Show up Friday 7pm for the kickoff. Watch event listings for details, or stop by Zoe in a few days to get a notecard.

Yay! I found your announcement in the Special Events forum, too. Sounds like I could get the entire Hansel and Gretel story into the contest spot. :)

actually what i'm hoping is that they meant to adjust the upper dirt range to twenty meters and accidentally set it to two-hundred.

if they adjust it to twenty, we'll have dirt under water, grassy patches at water level, for most sims, and full grass starting around twenty-two meters.

that will be SO nice.

I sooooo hope they change this. Most of my land is dirt and I'd so much rather have it be grass!

let's turn it into one giant SL game of Worms Armageddon. really, though, there are creative things we can do... embrace the dirt... get earthy... virtual stylee!

apparently it's a texture caching problem. i can port away from the core seeing grass, and back again seeing only dirt. some other people also see dirt, others see grass and rock.

this only happens to me in the core and southern sims, all the others, including private islands, render correctly even when i'm having a problem in the older ones.

i've cleared my cache but not logged back in. so maybe that fixed it.

i too so hope they lower the dirt range to underwater.

Grass level has always been too high above sea level in the old sims in my opinion. Grass should start about one foot above the water.
