The results do hold true for me though. Bush Kerry Give Money 8% 57% Get Out the Vote 38% 29% Issues/Events 54% 14% So Bush used the majority of his emails for issues and Kerry used most of his for fundraising. This is a major flaw that shouldbe corrected in the future. Honestly, I did start ignoring some of the Kerry campaign emails because they were just requests for money. Very interesting numbers.

I was signed up for both Kerry's and Bush's email lists and there was a very noticeable difference in the two. Like you said, Kerry's was almost all about money -- many times it felt like reading the script from a televangelist.

One way you can think about these results is that the Bush campaign already had huge amounts of cash, and could focus on issues. The Kerry campaign was short on cash, and felt they had to have money to focus on issues. Maybe it's a symptom of a political system embroiled in money both ways.

How much does it take to put some issues in with the requests for cash though?
