Anyone actually play it in the early nineties!?!? Please share!!! (This was the first virtual world I ever visited and it was my first true love You had to go into MS-DOS mode to play it Upon log in, you saw what looked like the layout of a giant amusement park....2D, VGA. One of the neatest things was that you could customize your avatar (face) to look like anyone and it could wear anything you wanted. There were a few areas of activity, like a place to play card and board games with as many people as you wanted, and you could see their avatars and chat with them all the while. My most favorite one was the RPG area. Everything was so simple yet so revolutionary. Last thing I remember about ImagiNation, they had plans to introduce walking, virtual money, etc. I hear they sold their business, and that was the end of that..)

They were charging like 4 or 5 dollars and hour back then. Ahh...the good ole day's...lol I think.. I still have it on floppy! I was in denial when they left us!

I remember that thing. I was just a kid then, and my parents said that it was too expensive.

Ahh..yes..I remember that well. It was really something at the time. It had an adult section where you could gamble and almost get naked, and had a very Leisure Suit Larry look to the graphics.
It really was a great idea though, with the different themed areas of the map. I recall being totally lost in the medieval rpg themed area...

I hear you Molecular, I was just a kid as well and my parents had said it was too expensive, but I still tried reading as much as I could about it. Thought it sounded awesome! It is good to be able to read more about it here, and sort of relieve the feeling of when it was out... *Drifts off into a dream state*...

Do you mean being lost as in, lost in heaven, or lost as in having no idea where you are? I loved Leisure Suit Larry! kinky and adventurous remember the very first game? walking into a dark alley, being mobbed by a creepy fat guy, then going underground to have the body repaired in a "factory" lol . whatever happened to those games *sigh*

I remember trying several times to sign up and never recieving the disk. So I just went back to WorldsAway and dabbled in AlphaWorlds more.
