When you estimate uptime for a system, you need to be conservative. Much better to deliver better than you promise rather than vice versa.

I'm bored too. This was only one line above you when you posted. From: Jeska Linden UPDATE - - We are still working on the upgrade and have been delayed. Our best estimate is 4:00pm for opening back up. Sorry for the inconvenience and please continue watching the forums for more information.

You, being knowledgeable of sci-fi, of course know that this is exactly the "Scotty Principle" that Montgomery Scott used on Star Trek to impress Kirk.

From: Toy LaFollette doo-doo happens Often and when you don't want it to.. Give 'em a break. Maybe something else happened and they'd rather not risk us losing our inventories due to a login glitch or something! Eh, second thought.. I'm bored too. Hmmm.. I see a shirt I'd like to recreate! That's what I'll do! Make clothing until the time comes and I can log in and get my fix!!!! *feels Second Life Shakes coming on* Or I'll post here and fill up space with my meaningless drivel? Nah.. best not.

From: Torley Torgeson You, being knowledgeable of sci-fi, of course know that this is exactly the "Scotty Principle" that Montgomery Scott used on Star Trek to impress Kirk. haha!!! Kirk:"Scotty, I must have the engines repaired in 15 minutes or the Klingons will wipe us out" Scotty:"I need 20 minutes at least, captain, you can't change the principles of physics!!" Bones:"Dammit Jim they are almost here, we're going to be slaughtered!!" Spock:"can I be of assistance Mr. Scott?" Scottie:"nah, It'll be done in 5 minutes, I just like seeing the veins pop out on Mccoys forehead..."

Well. You can get unbored by popping into the chatroom and helping me work up ways to break 1.6

From: Middy Mysterio When you estimate uptime for a system, you need to be conservative. Much better to deliver better than you promise rather than vice versa. After recently experiencing Ku accidently being rolledback 72 hours and losing a new build and a new lot, I'm OK with caution and whatever time it takes as long as they get it right. If they screw this up and we spend days or weeks suffering, rant away

Expected it.
