I am looking for ideas and suggestions on how to work the forums. I don't mean how to use the built in editor, I am looking for improvements over that.

One category I am looking for ideas about is software, such as a WYSIWYG editor for Firefox and these forums, spelling and grammar checkers.

Another category would be ideas like this: You have made a post and no one has responded. What do you do to bump the thread? Why, you IM someone on your friends list and ask them to read it and make a response.

There is a web site called nonags.com that has a lot of free software. One program you can get there that is a nice thing for inserting urls is called Ditto. It is a clipboard enhancement that lets multiple items that are copied to the windows copy buffer available, storing them in a list as you copy them . You can copy the visible words, then copy the url and when you want to put the link in here you can double click the item neede from a list of copied things. This program Ditto is going to be quite useful. I may get one for work.
