Come see the Stargate!

Hi all,

I just wanted to let all you Stargate SG-1 fans know about my working Stargate and teleport rings. Located in Perry 244,115 the Stargate uses it's own DHD (Dial HomeDevice) that activates the gate, and anyone who walks through will automatically be sent to their home point.

The teleportation rings are also there, which basically just takes you between upstairs and downstairs.

Authentic sounds add to the effect. Also, if you wish to look like a Goau'ld Serpent Guard (with snake head and all) you can buy my Jaffa Costume. Comes with an authentic staff weapon!

Being a huge Stargate SG-1 fan, Second Life has allowed me to recreate part of the SG world with all the trimmings. At some point I would like to hold events there, possibly Stargate trivia, or the like.

Ooooh... I'm going to definitely check this out! I love SG-1!!

I've um...shoved many a visitor through the stargate. Now it would just be nice if in the future you can make it going point to point. I know the lsl doesn't allow for that yet but maybe someday... <hint>

Great job! hehe I kept going up and down the teleportation rings... and kept pushing the DHD to look at the stargate activation! (:

I have one small request/suggestion... could the rings and the gate be made little person friendly? I go around in a little girl av, and I fell through between the rings platform and the ramp on the upper level a few times, and if I walk fast I can make it over that space but go over the other side. hehe

When I walked through the stargate I had to jump to go through for some reason... *shrug*

I'll see what I can do. I've been meaning to move the ramp by the teleportation rings closer, but it needs to be scripted to move when needed, otherwise the rings hit it on the way down.

I think something like an invisible *bridge* would work that is always phantom unless the rings are inactive and the platform is on the top floor would work too... *shrug* hehe

It's still a great build! You did an awesome job. (:

Very cool setup. i was just flying by and saw it....had to stop. great job
