I just posted in Technical Issues that the preview is running 1.5.10, which should fix the crashing that was supposed to be in 1.5.9.
So if you're crashing frequently now I'd be interested in finding out if 1.5.10 solves your problems or not. Thanks.

Yes please go to www.secondlife.com/preview if you read this and try it out. We hope to put this build on the main site later today.
As Andrew said, there is a crash bug that we hope we have fixed in this build. Specifically, this is the crash bug that often happens during startup or teleporting. _____________________

Cannot run 1.5.10

I still cannot get 1.5.10 running. A huge question I would like to know is what Linden Labs does for quality assurance with SL. Right now it looks like to me that you guys don't have a good enough system for beta testing.

Working halfway....

I can get it to the point I was at when I first installed SL. It runs on every second loadup. AKA it seems to need the crash log popup thing prior to launch to make it run. I can live with it working like this.
I ended up reinstalling my video card driver since Stepmania would also not run. That seemed to fix it partially. I can get it into windowed mode and everything, so I'm happy for now. |
