If it wasn't for a poster who watched the end of the auction and posted, nobody would know who won the Island.
Could we please be allowed to look at closed auctions to see the winners?

There is now a link to closed auctions from the open auction's list page. This should make it easier to see what's happened.

It's already on the feature request list for the auctions web app. Can't give you an ETA, but we do want to make it possible to view past auctions going back for "a while".
