Good post, I have cited this point in regards to gay marraiges myself. It's very interesting.
I don't see why gays can't make the biggest mistakes in their lives like the rest of us!

Interracial marriage, of which I am a product, is *still* a marriage between a man and a woman. Hey, NAMBLA wants the right to marry young boys-is that next? They can use all the same arguments as the homosexuals so why not?

Homosexual marriages are marriages between two adults. I don't know why you have to bring pedophilia into the concversation. Are you perhaps a Christian?

NAMBLA-style marriages aren't and shouldn't be legal, not because of the rights of adults, but because of the rights that children do and do not have. For example, children do not have the right to get married, because they're not yet of legal age. Wait, that's not correct. In many states, children (people under the age of 1 can and do get married. How is this? Perhaps, Kiamat, instead of protecting the sanctity of marriage against homosexuals, you would better serve the world protecting children by advocating FOR a national marriage-age, say, 18? This ignores the probability that NAMBLA style marriages wouldn't be in high-demand anyway, both because they represent a rather small portion of the populace, and also because pedophiles are unlikely to want a lifelong, exclusive relationship with someone who will grow up and no longer be a child in several years. I've often found that if you take the arguments against gay marriage from people, and repeat them word-for-word back to them, replacing only the phrases like "homosexual" and "same-sex" with phrases like "coloreds and whites" or "orientals and whites", you'll have a pretty effective argument. This is especially effective against people who say that the argument for same-sex marriage has no similiarities to the laws against interracial marriages years ago.

-Kiamat Dusk If you are the product of an interracial marriage then you should be more tolerant. You really don't understand what your parents went through. When I was 18, almost 25 years ago, I dated someone whose race was different from my own and we suffered all sorts of irrational hostilities. Since that time I have also been in a same sex relationship and the hostility felt just the same, just as irrational and just as wrong. I am not going to address your 2nd statement because you obviously don't understand. I only hope your parents have gotten over the negativity you are now ready to sling on homosexuals. Both are just as painful and wrong.
