Just looking at the auctions i noticed one plot where the bids leapt from 3kL to 15kL in one bid.

I am not sure i understand why anyone would make such a bid - can anyone explain please?

Thanks

No MrsJackal - its just under 500m from the hub - just went to check. I am just intrigued why someone would do that, not having bought land other than my first land.

Im not sure on the correct name for the bidding system we have, but here's how it works.

It's pretty much like eBay, when you bid on land you enter the maximum amount you wish to pay for it.

So lets say person A has bidded just 1000L$ for a plot

Person B puts in his/her max as 5000L$, it will automatically bid for her up to that amount, but because she only needs to go to 1000L$, the next bid will be 1010L$ and will stay at that until person C comes along.

Person C will pay 6000L$ max for this land, so the system automatically bids for his/her higher than person B's max bid. And now the auction bid stands at 5010L$ - a whole 4,000L$ jump!

Hope that helps explain.
