Hello my fellow SL-residents,

As some of you know, my property, The Mushroom Kingdom has recently moved from Fujin to its new home in Davenport. New to the property since the move....
  1. New items by other classic gaming fans, including two new coin-op replicas: The Bride of Pin-bot (pinball game) and Ms. Pac-man (upright coin-op game).
  2. More room than ever before with loads of hidden goodies that'll blast you into the past.
  3. More eager contributors than ever before, with new members of our group eager to put the classic spin on your SL experience.
  4. Upcoming price reductions on my semi-replicas and other furnishings.
  5. Just in time for Christmas, I will be offering for sale two new full coin-op replicas: Q*Bert (finally going on sale) and Gauntlet upright coin-op replicas with loads of sound-effects (coming very soon) and chocked full of trivia and history of these classics.

I'm thrilled with the support I've received from those of you who have helped make the Kingdom more than just my property, but our property... I just pay the bills. :D

I was there very early this morning and couldn't find all the red coins!

/cry

God do I love the Mushroom Kingdom. But where's the Sinclair and TI/TS stuffs? Cut me teeth on a TS 2068 with a Spectrum 2000 ROM chip that you toggled with a mercury switch and a cheap ass magnet on the case :) You know, they sold a million! ;)

Hah, I may get around to the TI or (more likely) The Sinclair in order to give you brits a warm feeling in your heart :D. The Sinclair didn't go over as well in the states.

I'm an American, although from programming in BASIC on the Spectrum, I misspell colour now. :(

By the way, I'm curious: Can you tell me the full title (including the numeric component) of the Spectrum so I make sure that I create the right replica? :) Growing up, I remember all the screenshots, but never once saw the damned machine.

Thanks :)

Oh, it's been so long I had to Google it myself...

First was the Sinclair ZX80 released in 1980. Next came the Sinclair ZX81 released in 1981. (Microsoft: Take note and start adjusting for slippage!) Also in 81 was the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. I got my TS 2068 in 1983.

The ZX81 is the pre-C64 computer that really had the major impact of the bunch.

Hah! I had a ZX80 waaaay back. As I recall, it was deceivingly smaller than the crop of C64-era computers that surrounded it. I'll have to make sure the scale's right, but I'll do the ZX81 since it's the more "profound" model :D

Now... to add it to my list. o.O
