I was flying around Clunn when I seemed to zoom westward out of control. I crashed (my computer) and have not been able to find the copter, nor was it been returned to me (folks please set your land to 24 hour object return).
I'm offering a $L20 reward for it's safe return or whereabouts.
It's a big white helicopter.
If you find it please IM me in game (not here in the forum).
I think I've seen this in a thread before... but are there ways to find lost objects? Please make note if your method is only preventively applicable (ie will do me no good now).

Hi Blueman!
You can look on the Mini Map for bright blue (cyan, really) dots. Those are objects that you own. If you can't find it that way, IM me inworld and I'll drop you a free finder that someone gave me way back when. You need to type #find (exact name of object) to use it. You also need to be within 96 meters of the object for it to work, but it's a start!

Thank you!

Thanks both of you!
I did try the blue dot thing... but just before I crashed.... I just zoooomed west-ish for no reason and no telling how far (push gun?)
I flew around and around and didn't find it.
Jill, the copter is great and was my first vehicle purchase, great price too. I don't have a lot of CPU horse power so I bought it when it said "steady ride".
Thanks again! -Blue

Could be lag. SL is notorious for having you lose vehicles.
I'll trow you a Scan-Foo device when the grid goes back online. It should help you extend your search ability quite extensivly.

no_copy vehicles? Ouch. Given the problems with crossing borders and how often I've lost a vehicle that way, it would have to be made outta gold for me to buy a no_copy vehicle. Might as well throw yer L$ into the cracks between sims and save the time and frustration. Now, if it was not no_copy, you should still have it in your inventory. -Ghoti

No, it should have been copiable - only my kits aren't copiable. However, there was a breif time my Mk3s had a texture in a child prim's inventory that was permissioned wrong Oh Mie Ghawd... the perms on that thing were still screwed up. If *anyone* has purchased any vehicle from me that's NOT copiable, IM me for a replacement. /me is sooooo embarrased.

A few observations from a newbie flier
02-02-2005 08:32
Thanks again Jill for the prompt replacement of my heli with a copy no transfer version. Since I am a first time flyer, I thought I'd offer some basic observations.
1. Trees are not your friend.
2. Really hard to shop while accidentally plowing through a mall.
3. Passengers will yell at people below.
4. There are as many buildings at 600 m as at 20 m.
5. Neighbors love to be picked up for flights, not hit by them.
6. If a heli lands in the woods and no one is around to hear it, it's because you hit a "no entry" parcel
7. You will be shot at.
8. Don't tell girls you want to "take them for a ride" without explaining.
9. Treat you plane like you could lose it any moment, because you will... a lot.
10. TP's are 1000 times faster, but no where near as funny.

That's funny Blueman!
I love going for rides. I'm a really terrible pilot though so I prefer to be in the passenger seat.
