Omg that's nothing (though I mean yeah it's amazing it could happen).
Lineage has a history so woven with violence you wouldn't believe it. There are stories of people who guarded the mouth of some cave, and successfully killed a very powerful leader of some guild that tried to take it. The members of the guild, in RL, found members of the Lineage team, and threatened their lives if they did not disclose the RL info of the player that executed the kill.
That RL player was found, in an alley, barely alive. The story is online, I read it years ago. Lineage 2 also apparently has a litany of more recent events. It would seem the less power you have in your own world, the more seriously you take your power in the virtual. Maybe Phil needs to be broke for a year.
Lawsuits are nothing new either. Reference the poison hedge that killed the dog in that MUD all those years ago. That particular MUD, name eludes me atm, was essentially SL without graphics.
I'm sure half the SL grid at one point would have pushed a particular player off a roof at one time or another.
Ridiculous. It's just a game.
